Who Am I?
My name is Emily, and I am a servant of the Lord Jesus Christ.
I am simply a woman with a pen who took the long road to Christ. Along the way, I experienced both victories and failures, faith and doubt, hope and discouragement. Through it all, God remained faithful.
Today, I believe God has called me to share my story so that others may come to know Jesus more deeply and experience the transforming power of His grace.
My Inspiration
Some of the writers and theologians who have most influenced my faith are C.S. Lewis, Charles Spurgeon, and many others whose love for Christ shines through their work.
Among my favorite books of the Bible are Genesis, Romans, and Philippians. Each of them has played an important role in helping me understand God’s character, His grace, and His plan for our lives.
Like many believers, I also struggle with anxiety and discouragement at times. These challenges have taught me to lean more fully on Christ and trust Him even when circumstances are difficult.
My Story
I was raised in an evangelical Christian home. I knew the Scriptures, understood the doctrines of the faith, and would have described myself as a Christian who loved Jesus.
Yet knowledge alone was not enough.
It was not until I reached a personal low point in my life that I truly cried out to Jesus in complete surrender. In that moment, God met me with His mercy. Through the work of the Holy Spirit, my life was transformed, and I experienced what it means to be born again.
The Holy Spirit renewed my heart, changed my desires, and began a work in me that continues to this day. I am far from perfect, but I am continually being shaped by God’s grace.
Why This Ministry Exists
More of Jesus was born out of a desire to help others grow in their relationship with Christ.
My goal is not to present myself as someone who has everything figured out. Rather, I want to honestly share my journey, including my struggles, failures, lessons learned, and the ways God has faithfully carried me through.
Through these devotionals, stories, and reflections, I hope to encourage others to pursue a deeper and more meaningful relationship with the God who loved them enough to come to this earth, die for their sins, and offer them eternal life through Jesus Christ.
If my story can help even one person draw closer to Jesus, then every word is worth writing.
My Prayer
That through this ministry, Christ would increase, I would decrease, and readers would leave with one desire:
More of Jesus. Less of Me. More of Him. (John 3:30)
