If you’ve been around my site for any amount of time, you’ve probably noticed it’s been going through a bit of an identity crisis. The truth is — it has, and so have I.
I’ve always been a Christian. That part has never wavered. But the question that kept circling my mind was this:
Am I a Christian who writes,
or am I a Christian writer?
And honestly, the second one scared me.
I never wanted to become someone who writes about Christian life and lessons as if I’ve got everything figured out. I don’t. I’m still learning, still stumbling, still being shaped by grace. But I also didn’t want to become the kind of Christian whose faith seems to drain all the creativity out of them. After all, our God is endlessly creative — just look at the world He spoke into being. Yet Christians often forget this and settle into something small, safe, and uninspired.
I don’t want that.
I want to write from a place that is alive.
Somewhere along the way, I realized something simple but freeing:
I don’t have to teach from perfection. I can write from experience.
I don’t have to pretend to have all the answers. I can share the questions.
I don’t have to hide my trials. I can let God use them.
Scripture says in 2 Corinthians 1 that when we go through trials, God comforts us so that we can comfort others. That is what I want to do here.
I want to take my struggles, my lessons, my moments of wrestling and wonder — and show how God has met me in them. I want to share what He has taught me through His Word, so that others may be comforted, encouraged, and drawn closer to Him. I want this space to point toward the love, joy, and peace that can only be found in Christ alone.
This isn’t a blog trying to be perfect. It’s a blog trying to be faithful.
And if you’re here, I hope you find something that reminds you that you’re not alone — and that Jesus is always more than enough
